Woody Allen Lands 19th Screenplay Nomination

The Writers Guild of America Award nominations were announced on Wednesday (07Jan09). Allen (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) will battle the Coens (Burn after reading), Dustin Lance Black (Milk), Tom McCarthy (The Visitor) and Robert Siegel (The Wrestler) for Best Original Screenplay honor. Woody Allen has claimed its 19th Writers Guild Awards nominations, while brothers Joel and Ethan Coen and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button screenwriter Eric Roth have landed their fourth wave.
